Charla Coleman - Founder & Executive Director
Charla is a Mom of seven children, a Hawaii native, an Air Force veteran, public speaker, author, and certified Healthy Relationship Advocate. She has served multiple nonprofits including Life Without Lupus Project, Compassion International, Mary's Home, and Toastmasters International. She is a board member of Lupus Colorado and currently works for a local Christian Radio station while facilitating Jackie's W.A.R (Women At Risk).
Charla founded Jackie's W.A.R in memory of her beloved teenage daughter, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Coleman. She collaborates with entities which are dedicated to help girls and women of all ages in making healthy relationship choices in order to avoid the pitfalls of domestic abuse while providing resources for those who are coming out of crisis.
Although she didn't grow up in an abusive home, Charla is a survivor and offender-turned-advocate who escaped the vicious trap of domestic violence.
As a keynote speaker, Charla participates in various events to empower girls who are at a heightened risk of falling into the trap of an unhealthy, abusive relationship because Jackie's War is everybody's war.
